Lidi Lima-Conlon, is a multi award winner on newborn photography, based in Ireland. Originally from Brazil she moved to Ireland, back in 2008 to learn English. Where she instantly fell in love with the country and met her husband and never moved back to her home country. In Brazil Lidi graduated in Journalism and worked as a TV reporter for a few years. “That was when I started looking at composition, exposure and the creative side of videos.” After a couple of years in Ireland she attended a beginners course in photography and that changed her life. “I stopped thinking about going back to journalism and decided to give my photography career a go.” At the beginning she photographed everything: landscape, events, weddings... Lidi was so excited about this whole thing that in the space of a year I had my husband Gareth Lima-Conlon involved in photography as well and today he’s one of the best wedding photographers in Ireland. It didn’t take long to realise that her passion really is photographing babies and their families. Lidi now specialises in newborn and baby photography. “Since I had my two kids it became even clearer for me the importance of my work. Babies change so fast, especially in the first few weeks. I love being able to create images that my clients can look back on and remember all the little details of when their babies were still tiny.” Lidi won a few international and national awards throughout the years, including Newborn Photographer of the Year 2021 by the Irish Professional Photographers and Videographers Association. Her career is focused on offering top quality services and products to her clients and mentoring new photographers to help them start in the newborn world.
